Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Before and After School and Vacation Care
To help working parents, we provide a safe, supervised, accredited OSHC service for children in Prep to Year 6. Click here to view our Philosophy and Goals.
Our OSHC service operates from air-conditioned rooms on the ground floor of the John Hancock Centre under the gymnasium (adjacent to the Junior Grammar amphitheatre) from 6.30am – 8.30am and 2.30pm - 6.00pm on school days, and from 6.30am - 6.00pm during school holidays and pupil-free days.
A new dynamic program is coordinated each term by a qualified child care professional, Mrs Tricia McInally. Activities make the most of seasonal climates and the School’s excellent facilities – swimming, art and craft, sports, indoor and outdoor games, educational and recreational excursions, and theme days.
A $25 enrolment fee per child is required to accompany the Enrolment Form. Permanent bookings will be taken and accounted for each term time at the reduced rate nominated below. Charges are applicable regardless of cancellations, illness or public holidays.
To register your children, you must complete an OSHC enrolment form (one per child). An annual administration enrolment fee of $25 will be charged for each child using the Centre.
|Bookings||Before School||After School||Vacation Care|
|Permanent||$13||$20||$50 (includes breakfast, lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea)|
Vacation Care costs $50 per child per day regardless of the length of stay (the casual rate is $55). This includes breakfast if required, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Excursion travel and admission costs are extra.
A fee is sometimes charged for materials supplied by visiting performers and activity leaders. OSHC costs are not included as part of the school fees, in fairness to the many Junior Grammar families who do not use this service.
Child Care Benefits are applicable if you register your child with the School’s Before and After School Care and Vacation Care services through Centrelink’s Family Assistance Office.
Bookings are essential so that the OSHC team can confirm the appropriate staffing level requirements for each day. Advance notice of how many children will be attending each day also ensures that our catering staff can plan an assortment of nutritious and tasty meals in ample quantities for active, growing bodies and look after children who have special dietary needs.
If you would like to know more about our OSHC services, please contact Mrs Tricia McInally during OSHC hours on 0414 891 199 or Mrs Chani Downing on 07 3454 4547 between 9.00am and 2.00pm.
